Tahoe - Truckee Farmers Markets Celebrate the Bounty of Summer

We’re in the heart of summer in Lake Tahoe and Truckee, and that means high season for the freshest summer fruits and vegetables. It also means supporting local farms and vendors, and there’s no better place to do that than the Tahoe-Truckee farmers markets. Most of the goods come from within a radius of 125 miles, much of it more closer than that.

Some highlights of the seasonal offerings available include vegetables, fruits, herbs, berries, honey, jam, fresh flowers, beef, pork, lamb, bacon, sausage, eggs, kombucha and locally made wine. Other producers offer artisan cheeses, seafood, baked goods, chocolates and other specialty and ethnic foods.

Whether you live in Tahoe-Truckee or are visiting, there are several farmers markets in the region happening every week.

The Truckee Community Farmers Market is on Sundays from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at 12047 Donner Pass Road (Sears/Coffeebar parking lot).
