Schaffer’s Mill is so much more than a golf club. This private amenity club is a favorite among Truckee principal homeowners too! The Sawyer
Schaffer’s own fine, yet unassuming, dining restaurant -- The Sawyer, is the perfect place to grab a delicious bite to eat for date night or with the whole family. The Sawyer is centered around an incredible indoor and outdoor bar that looks out on Lookout Mountain and the golf course. Enjoy the locally crafted menu with selections of shareable, freshly-prepared salads, generous sandwiches, and delicious entrees. Be sure to make a reservation online before heading in.
Base Camp at Northstar
Are you a skier? You will absolutely love Base Camp -- Schaffer’s very own “home base” in the heart of the Village at Northstar. Here you’ll have comfortable couches and a warm fireplace to comfortably put your boots on or warm up at lunch. There’s even TV’s and refreshments, so you can catch the game between runs. Plus there’s private ski & equipment storage, boot dryers and day lockers to make it a breeze to come and go. Combine all of this with the Mill’s Shuttle Service, and you have an incredible ski-in, ski-out-like experience.

Schaffer’s is the perfect spot for a growing family! With amenities (beyond the golf course) you’ll love the year-round pool, Lil’ Mill that has a basketball hoop and lots of goodies available for checkout, from bicycles to frisbees to games of all kinds. Did we mention the extensive trail system? A network of diverse trails, including paved, unpaved but finished, and forest floor trails are just outside your door. The grown ups always gravitate towards the unique outdoor spas, tucked into various private boulder enclaves and Millworks Fitness offers a functional space to work out, tone up, or take a class with friends.
